And now that you're living alone and don't have your parent or maid or sibling or etc. picking up after you:

TV charge (payable even if you don't have a TV, apparently)

Property Tax

Regular cleaning and tidying ensures that it is presentable whenever guests drop by, and now that you're living alone, trust me, your place is going to be a guest magnet. (Stock up on beer, tea and coffee!)

Finally I can host my own dinner parties. With disposable plates of course. Who wants to be stuck washing the plates?

What's the use of that excellent renovation if there is no one to admire it, right?

You'll need to think about safety and security issues. 
What happens if you get injured? 
What if you get scared at night, if there is some intruder (too much crime shows)? 
Or what if you fall ill? Is there anyone nearby who can attend to you in your need? A relative, a friend, a neighbour?
Do you know where is your nearest clinic, police post (oh yeah, go get your address updated. Don't irritate your parents with mail being forwarded to them still.), sundry shop, supermarket, hawker centre, bakery, bookshop etc.

How are you going to install that complicated electrical you just bought?
Who is going to help you shift/carry that bulky furniture piece?
Who is going to help you zip up that harp to reach zipper at the back?
Who is going to tell you that you went out with your pants on backwards?

Who are you going to talk to when you're bored at night?

When you need advice?

You feel like a part of you has been left in limbo...

You'll need to think about stocking up your fridge and larder, yourself, with real food. Doing your groceries and errands. Boiling the water.

Shutting your windows so that the rain doesn't get in.

Locking your door so unwanted guests don't get in.

Not locking yourself out, especially when your key is in. (If you're that kind, invest in those fingerprint locks. Or make sure someone nearby has a spare set of your keys.)

Make sure you change out the front door and gate locks first thing when you move in.

Small details that get forgotten when you're living in a family unit.

No one can be your keeper any more. No one your watcher. Difficult to adjust to after 35 years of being looked after, I'm sure.
